This page is intended to illustrate the changes that are being made to UK telephony services and explain some of the reasons behind them because they affect us all. We attempt to clarify some of the terms and the technology that applies.

What we provide.
We provide a wide range of internet access products, most are supplied with just a 30 day minimum term contract. However if you cancel within the first 12 months of the service activation date, we will charge a small cancellation fee, see our price list for details.
Unless otherwise stated, all products include:-

ADSL2+
ADSL is available throughout the UK. Not all broadbands are the same as the performance is affected by factors such as contention ratio (that's how many people share the connection back to the internet once you're inside the local exchange). A low contention ratio will 'feel' faster whilst a high contention ratio will sometimes feel restricted irrespective of the speedtest results.
- A business grade product offering low contention ratios and employing rate adaption techniques to consistantly provide the highest available download speeds.
- Download speeds of upto 24M are achieveable depending on the area and the distance from the telephone exchange.

Fibre to the cabinet
Fibre optic broadband isn't available in all areas yet, so please check with us first. It's known as FTTC or Fibre to the Cabinet, copper wires takeover for the 'last mile'. It usually comes with download speeds of upto 80MBit/s and upload speeds of 20MBit/s, but can be 'Impacted' by long lines so speeds may be reduced to 40MBit/s (download) and 10MBit/s on the upload.

GFast
GFast is the newest and fastest copper based broadband service that is currently available. Basically, it is an improved version of Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC). This means that the end user can achieve speeds up to four times faster than traditional FTTC broadband.
Current Fibre Broadband maximum speeds are up to 80mb download, GFast increases this to up to a potential 330mb download speed.

Internet via Satellite
Over the air or satellite services are great way to get a good connection if you live in the middle of nowhere. They are ideal for rural areas where BT Openreach haven't been able to upgrade the cabling yet.
